Sod  Maintenance

WATERING:

After ten days of strict watering and the sod is knitted and established, you may begin to reduce your watering time depending on the weather and soil type.

Water from two to six times a week making sure that the moisture level is 6" or more during application. Check your irrigation system periodically for good coverage, especially on windy days. DO NOT LET THE LAWN DRY OUT DURING ESTABLISHMENT.

MOWING:

First mowing should be approximately one to two weeks after the day of installation. Mow when the grass blades are dry. Measure on a flat, hard, level surface, set your mower blades 2" to 3" high, dependent upon the variety, from ground level. Never cut more that 1/3 of the total leaf off at any one time. Remove all clippings and avoid scalping.

 FERTILIZING:

 Fertilize approximately one month after installation year round using a complete balanced fertilizer recommended by your local nurserymen or licensed landscape contractor for the best product in your area, four to six weeks thereafter.
